Diving Safaris in KwaZulu Natal / Mozambique and South Africa

Diving in KwaZulu Natal & Mozambique
At present, we have a range of diving safaris which we offer in KwaZulu Natal and Mozambique, our areas of expertise, where you can dive with sharks, experience eco diving combined with excellent wildlife safaris, world heritage sites and friendly Zulu Culture. The adventurous itineraries for scuba divers include adventure eco and shark diving, combined with Big 5 wildlife game parks, Aliwal Shoal, Sodwana Bay and Mozambique.
Please visit our diving web site at www.aliwalshoal.com

Don't forget that we also have many other tours and wildlife safaris as well throughout South Africa, which you can find by browsing the links on the left.

Please note
Most tours are led by a dive Instructor, who is also a Registered Tour Guide with extensive experience and knowledge of the region. You can therefore upgrade your diving PADI qualifications by doing a PADI course whilst on tour. Ask for details.

All tours are on a Bed & Breakfast basis, with some other meals included. Where we have excluded meals, you are able to obtain meals according to your own budget.
We recommend +/- R40 - R60.00 for lunches, and +/- R50.00 - R80.00 for dinners.

All tours include the hire of cylinder and weightbelt. If you need full equipment hire, add an extra +/- R100.00 per diving day on to the cost of the tour.

We are flexible with dates for the tours, but will be shortly introducing scheduled itineraries. In the meantime, contact us with your preferred dates and we will let you know if the tour you want is available.

Itineraries can be adjusted to suit your requirements. Tours can be combined with other non-diving tours, or tailormade to your requirements and interests. Please browse the rest of our site for ideas.

Most accommodation utilised can be classified as *** (three star). Towels and bedding are all provided. However, in Mozambique, the accommodation is far more rustic. Although bedding is provided, ensure that you bring your own towels.

We recommend that malaria prophylaxis are taken on tours into Mozambique and the extreme north of KwaZulu-Natal (Maputoland). N.B. Larium, whilst being an effective deterrent, is not compatible with diving.

Visas for Mozambique can be obtained from the Mozambique Consulate in Durban. The address is 27th Floor, 320 West St, Durban. The phone number is 031 3040200. 24 Hour visas cost R75.00, and same day visas cost R85.00. You need a passport valid for at least 6 months and 3 id photographs.

Please remember, you have to wait a minimum of 12 hours (we recommend 24 hours) after diving before you can fly, so factor this delay in when making your holiday arrangements.

We do reserve the right to adjust prices if necessary, but will honour all tours which have been confirmed prior to an adjustment at the agreed rate.
