Londolozi Private Game Reserve
Located within the Sabi Sands game reserve which lies on the western border of Kruger National Park. The reserve is 14,000 hectares in size, and is one of the most sought-after destinations in Africa, offering a wildlife experience and exclusive getaway which is second to none. Londolozi means ''protector of all living things" and the reserve lives up to its name with its responsible ecotourism practices.

Accommodation
There are 5 separate lodges, which are perfect for accommodating small groups of guests or individuals in luxury. Londolozi was the first private game lodge to be awarded prestigious Relais & Chateaux membership in the world. The 5 lodges are Pioneer Camp, Founders Camp, Bateleur, Tree Camp and the secluded Safari Lodge. More information about the lodges can be obtained by clicking on each name. Most lodges only take 12 or 13 persons, although Bateleur camp accommodates 24 persons per night.

Wildlife
Big 5 game viewing is exceptional. Leopard sightings are something of a specialty, and hardly a day goes by without sightings of these magnificent creatures. Whilst completely wild, they take no notice of vehicles, therefore occupants of safari vehicles get amazing sightings of leopards, even whilst they are on the hunt. Guests are extremely likely to see territorial and individually recognisable leopard and lion which are tracked on a daily basis, as well as hyena. Impala are the most abundant antelope, with common waterbuck, grey duiker, kudu, bushbuck and nyala. Buffalo herds, elephant, white rhino, giraffe, warthog and many other African wildlife species are commonly seen. Cape clawless otter and hippo are resident in the Sand River. Nocturnal animals include white-tailed mongoose, African civet and large-spotted genet.

Birdlife
303 bird species have been recorded.. White-crested helmetshrike, lilac-breasted roller, brown-headed parrot, emerald-spotted dove and scarlet-chested sunbird are among the colourful savanna residents. Woodland kingfisher, red-chested cuckoo and Wahlberg’s eagle are breeding visitors from tropical Africa during the wet summer months (October to March). Crested francolin and helmeted guineafowl wander on sand tracks during the early mornings and late afternoons. Saddle-billed stork, grey heron and pied kingfisher feed at waterholes and pools in the Sand River.

Game Activities
Highly experienced game rangers and trackers will take you deep into the bushveld with an open vehicle for the best game viewing experiences. Game drives take lace in the mornings and afternoons / evenings. Game rangers also offer short walking safaris where you can enjoy the true beauty of the reserve, being rewarded by sightings of both large and tiny inhabitants. There is also a specific leopard tracking safari on foot which often gives the most rewarding sightings of leopards deep in the heart of the bush.
