Bateleur Camp
This historical lodge has become one of Africa’s best-loved lodges, as this elegant safari camp reflects Londolozi’s rich history. In 1926, four rondavels were built as the grounds of Londolozi bush camp, and these rondavels are still standing, now being used as a wine cellar, a library and an internet / information / presentation area, showcasing the history of Londolozi and its conservation ethics. The lodge is extremely luxurious, with 8 chalets and 4 suites, accommodating a total of 24 persons.

Meals at Bateleur Camp
The main deck at Londolozi's Bateleur camp is the perfect setting for delicious breakfasts and lunches with views over forest and bushland. Dinners of Pan-African fine cuisine are enjoyed in the dramatic boma (outdoor dining area) illuminated by dozens of lanterns. Fine wines are selected to complement the meals.

Bateleur Camp Rooms
Luxury is paramount at Bateleur camp, and all suites and chalets have air-conditioning, personal bars, hairdryers and safes. At Bateleur, each room has its own private plunge pool, with views over indigenous bush, Bathrooms are luxurious having baths with views, and indoor showers. In addition to all of the facilities of the chalets, the suites have a separate wc, and an outside shower. All rooms have twin beds, which are easily converted to doubles.

Bateleur Camp Guest Areas
Visitors to Bateleur Camp will get beautiful views over the Sand River from the sitting room and dining room at the camp. The four original rondavels of the camp are now a showcase for the history of the original Sparta Hunting camp, and one is a traditional safari bedroom, and the others are converted into a museum, a wine cellar and a library with internet access. The spacious deck provides a congenial gathering area, with many historical photos and information on the Sabi Sand Reserve. There is a large dining boma, and an excellent African craft shop & gallery. The lodge is completed by the beautiful lodge swimming pool.

Bateleur Camp Activities
View Africa's most impressive wildlife on morning and evening game-drives in open game-viewing vehicles and on guided nature walks. The game viewing experience is complemented by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching, moonlit bush dinners (weather permitting), bush banqueting and bush presentations in the interpretive center.
