Founders Camp honours past guests and staff who have contributed to building Londolozi and assisting in distilling all the ecotourism learning of the past 30 years into a singular state.

Enchanting and intimate, Founder's Camp is ideally situated to provide an insider's view on the secrets of river life. Five idyllic sanctuaries repose in the shade of ancient Ebony and Matumi trees along the banks of the Sand River.

This is safari in the classic style, replete with classic black and cream ticking fabric and original mahogany beds. Deep leather couches, military chests, compass safari lamps and a riverside lounge sala, create a mood of easy luxury and laid back welcome for discerning families and travellers.

• Children 2 years and younger stay free of charge (always a maximum of two children per room).
• Children aged 3 - 5 years old, may share a room with adults and will be charged 25% of an adult rate, which includes meals and accommodation. No game drives.
• Children aged 6 - 11 years old, may share a room with adults and will be charged 50% of an adult rate, which includes meals, accommodation and game drives.
• Single supplement is 50% of the rate but this is waived for a stay of four nights and longer.

• Travel options: Federal Air operates daily flights from OR Tambo International Airport to Londolozi airstrip, which is a five-minute drive from the camp. There are daily scheduled flights from OR Tambo International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) on SA Express. The 20 minute transfers from KMIA to Londolozi airstrip are conducted by light aircraft. Londolozi is accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle on excellent roads. The driving time from Johannesburg is approximately five hours.
